League Champion Program

The League Champion Program is a year-long commitment (February 2026-February 2027) that brings together credit union professionals from across the state to promote The Wisconsin Credit Union League's events. This program is geared towards individuals who are eager to become more involved, grow professionally, network, and be rewarded for it!

How Does This Program Work? Like many programs similar to ours, we ask that our champions promote The League's events on LinkedIn. Champions will promote before and during/after events, along with a few other promotional activities to help drum up excitement. For their efforts, they will receive discounts on registration fees and the Top Champion(s) will receive expenses paid (up to $500) to an event of their choosing in the following season. 

Who Can Become a League Champion? League Champions are selected through an annual application process. This program is a great fit for individuals who attend League events regularly and are savvy on social media. We welcome anyone to apply!

  • Attend a minimum of 4 events (applicable events below)
  • LinkedIn participation before and during/after attending each event (2 posts per event)
  • Post or contribute to 1 post a year on The League's commUNITY network
  • Complete 1 of 3 projects (see below)
  
  • 400+ connections on LinkedIn
  • Sign-off from CEO/Supervisor
  
  • Receive 20% off registration costs on applicable League events
  • Receive 10% off registration costs on applicable League events for your credit union friends (5 per Champion!)
  • Top champion(s) to receive expenses paid (up to $500) to an event of their choosing for the following season
  • Annual Convention meet-up opportunity
  • League support to be a successful champion
  • Build your professional network

Projects

Complete 1 of 3 projects each season:


1. Video Testimonial 

  • Schedule a time with our team to answer a few questions
  • Testimonial will be included in our marketing materials

2. Written Testimonial or Short Guest Article

  • Write a brief, 300-word testimonial or guest article shared internally with your credit union via intranet, newsletter, email, etc., and The League's website. Writing prompts/Q&A templates can be provided (see below). 
  • Writing prompts/Q&A templates can be provided

3. Educate Credit Union Coworkers on The League's Event Offerings

  • Set up a 10-minute slot to talk about The League at an all credit union or team meeting/call

Only one project is required per season, though we encourage you to complete as many as you'd like to rack up points for the Top Champion race! Also, if you have a suggestion for an additional project not outlined here, contact Jennifer Esser.
