WESTconsin Credit Union to host ‘School’s Out Summer Food Drive’
WESTconsin Credit Union is set to host a “School’s Out Summer Food Drive.” According to a press release from WESTconsin Credit Union, from July 7, 2025, through July 19, 2025, all WESTconsin offices will collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations. The press release says all donations will go toward filling the shelves of 14 different community partners across the credit union’s service area. (WESTconsin Credit Union, 7/7)
Milwaukee Brewers star Freddy Peralta partners with Marine Credit Union to advance lives in Wisconsin communities
Marine Credit Union (MCU) is proud to announce a new partnership with Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta, 2024 Roberto Clemente Award nominee for the Brewers and a standout both on and off the field. United by a shared commitment to community impact, this partnership will bring Peralta together with MCU for a series of events focused on financial education, community support, and giving back—core values both Freddy and MCU champion. Feed My People hosting 6th annual Operation Picnic
For the 6th year, Feed My People Food Bank in Eau Claire is hosting its “Operation Picnic” campaign to raise funds for those in need of food over the summer. The event kicked off Friday at the food pantry, with over 60 volunteers from community partners, including Royal Credit Union, Scheels and more to help package food. One of multiple pop-up food pantries was also being held outside the building for people who are in need of food. The summer can be a difficult time for those facing food insecurity. Park City Cares Foundation Makes Match Donation to Tomahawk Kinship Building Fundraiser
The Tomahawk Kinship program continues to receive support in their effort to relocate to a larger space. A recent match pledge from a local Credit Union and their Foundation amplified donations. Tomahawk Kinship has been raising money to purchase a new building after outgrowing their current location. The Park City Cares Foundation, in partnership with Park City Credit Union announced a matching fundraiser, of up to $10,000. The full match was quickly met and an additional $20,218 was recently donated. (Park City Credit Union, 7/11)
Park City Cares Foundation, PCCU hold matching fundraiser for Kinship’s new home
The Park City Cares Foundation, in partnership with Park City Credit Union (PCCU), last week announced the successful completion of a matching fundraiser benefiting Kinship of Tomahawk’s efforts to relocate to a new home in the historic Bradley Bank building in downtown Tomahawk. Together, the organizations matched community donations dollar for dollar, up to $10,000.00. In a release, PCCU said the match “(amplified) the impact of every contribution.” (Park City Credit Union, 7/16)

Downtown Employee Appreciation Week returns August 18
Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 is teaming up with downtown businesses and organizations to celebrate downtown employees during the 20th annual Downtown Employee Appreciation Week, Aug. 18 – 22. Modeled after “Homecoming Week,” this spirit week for downtown’s workforce will feature daily activities, including Office Challenge Games, thousand-item lunch giveaways, workout sessions, and after-work social events. Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) hosting “Find the Rock” challenge in celebration of 60th anniversary
Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is commemorating six decades of service to the community with a month-long “Find the Rock” scavenger hunt throughout August. Each week, a specially decorated rock will be hidden at a public Marshfield location - with clues shared on MMCCU’s Facebook page - offering participants the chance to win a $100 Visa gift card. Brewery Credit Union planning to open another branch in Milwaukee
Brewery Credit Union is planning to open a new branch in a former Associated Bank location at 8050 W. Capitol Dr. in Milwaukee, according to a permit application filed with the city of Milwaukee. The branch will be its third location in addition to its downtown Milwaukee and Bay View locations. (Brewery Credit Union, 7/23)

Royal Credit Union Recognized On Forbes List of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2025
Royal Credit Union has been recognized on the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2025. This prestigious award is presented in collaboration with Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The ranking is based on an independent survey of over 26,000 customers in the U.S. Participants evaluated credit unions on several criteria, including trust, financial advice, customer services, digital services, branch services, and terms & conditions. A sentiment analysis was conducted using the publicly available reviews, and a score was calculated. (Royal Credit Union, 7/2)
Park City Credit Union CEO inducted into Wisconsin Credit Union Hall of Fame
Park City Credit Union (PCCU) President and CEO Val Mindak was recently inducted into the Legends of the Movement, a prestigious honor established by the Wisconsin Credit Union Foundation in 2024. The recognition celebrates individuals whose leadership and dedication have significantly impacted Wisconsin’s credit union movement. Mindak brings more than four decades of credit union industry experience to the honor, including 16 years at Park City Credit Union, based in Merrill. (Park City Credit Union, 7/25)
Royal Credit Union Names new Young Professional Credit Union Activists
Royal Credit Union (Royal) has named Noel Knickelbien and Kendall Geving as the new Royal Credit Union Young Professional Credit Union Activists (YP CU Activists). Royal launched the YP CU Activist program in 2019 to strengthen the credit union movement and elevate the voice of young professionals in advocacy efforts. (Royal Credit Union, 8/4)
